The scene gets darker when you raise the white board up in front of the camera because the settings on your camera are set to "automatic" for white balance / brightness / contrast. You should set them up in advance to the manual settings before you start recording.

Instead of Zombieafied, the correct term is actually Zombify or Zombified.
