The Many Different Types of Wargaming Tables

Hello MiniWarGaming!

For the past week or so, I have been trying to figure out the best solution for a wargaming table. First off I would like to point out that it is a waste of money to make the actual built table the wargaming table. This would require you to make a separate, new table for each different wargaming terrain style you want. If you have an unusually large amount of space, well then I guess you should just go for it! But for the rest of the populace, we need something that can move around easily, and in some cases (at least in my case) take up a small amount of space. First off it seems to me that while sort of crude, the easiest, cheapest and probably most flexible solution is to simply make a wargaming board to your preferred size as according to MiniWarGaming Dave's tutorial and plunk it onto a folding picnic or card table. You know, the type of table with folding legs and the sort of flimsy plastic. But for more customized requirements, you can go into types such as these:

These, when cut down to personal choice, will suit almost anyone's desire.

I hope that this article has helped people in finding the better wargaming table for them, and happy wargaming!

i decided i just simply wanted to build even if it is more work. I figure in the long run it will be just more helpful and easily costumizable. Plus, I hate waiting for stuff to ship Thanks for all the help though!
