Im not saying he has to field suits only I was just saying there are websites out there with detailed research on every unit Tau has... Pros and Cons etc... The Elites are contested in every codex... Suits are just so superior to Stealth suits... He could always use the Stealth teams with Marker Lights and just hide and rarely get shot at due to the stealth... That is a way to use Stealth suits well if you have too.... Also It would be interesting if he fielded some FW Tau Tetras or Sensor Towers... They are not your regular Tau Net List items for sure...

My mistake with the assaulting through cover, I asked a Tau player in the club and he said no... I guess I have to read for myself. Thanks for the clarifications guys!

Tau is fun to watch when they do bad or good. I liked his list just fine, though I would have liked to see the fire warriors used more, it seems like he might have left them in transports too long. I want to see a tau player with a giant gun line of 72 fire warriors! That would be a ton of shots from awesome guns and would be a site to see. Of course you'd probably need some piranhas or broadsides for tank popping to go along with them.

@milism Not everybody wants to netlist their armies '100%' and 9 out of 10 people who do, probably haven't even tried lists outside of those lists. Experimenting is fun.

Potato32 is correct with his post. As a new player to the game, I would hope that videos like this would provide accurate information regarding the rules. As quoted on page 27 of the Tau Codex, "Models equipped with stealth field generators count as being in cover if they are assaulted." Please do not tl

If you shot at a transport and the model get out , you can assault those models. See page 67 main rulebook.

Hello Dan! I love all the work you, Matt and Dave have done. As an avid Tau enthusiast, when you stated that stealth suits get no bonuses from being assaulted I threw up a red flag and grabbed my codex. Pg. 27 under stealth field generator. "models equipped with stealth field generators count as being in cover if they are assaulted" More Tau battle reports!!

Sure, yeah, we all have our bad games. I havbe a few myself. But it is Owen's army, and such it is his choice as to what he wants to include. What might have not worked well against Orks may do well against Space Marines or Chaos. It all matters who you are battling, because it is kinda impossible to make one army list that will utterly destroy all the other armies. But I've seen Owen play before, and he just had a bad game. We all do.

At first, I was iffy about Dan and his reports, but with each one he's becoming more and more comfortable and knowledgeable about the various armies he's going against. Looking forward to seeing more of your reports.

and FYI since it says models attacking it, and only models in base to base (well base to hull) can attack a vehicle, on the models b2b are hit
