hey matt thought i would mention mind shackle scarrabs one last time now that the faq has come out. alot of people me included have said they are broken which will only get worse now but with a few tweeks to your deployment of units alot can be done to combat them. as its only base to base to worry about keep power klaws off the front lineand powerfull idc's to the flanks of units hope this helps a few players!!

Matt, you really should try playing with 2-3 annihilation barges. They are the best heavy support in the codex . I don't ever leave home without them. The reason is they are only 90 points, the amount of autocannon-equivalent firepower you get is just staggering, and on top of that they are AV 13 and fast.

I cringe a little at the beginning of every video though when Matt pronounces "versus" as "vers".

I occasionally play Orks, and in the event of a Leadership test for Mindshackle Scarabs, if the mob was 11 or more in number, I'd probably just count their effective Leadership as 10, since that's the highest it can go.

wait a second, if mind shackle scarabs require a leadership test, and marneus calagar can choose to pass or faill all leadership checks wouldn't mindshackle scarabs be uselss against him?

Hi Matt, thanks for addressing the comments and correcting any oversights, it's invaluable for those learning the rules; clarity is a wonderful thing. Just on the mob rule, it says the Ork mob may always choose to substitute the number of Orks in their mob for their normal leadership value, so fearless aside, when a member of the mob needs to use their leadership value for a particular roll, they have the choice to substitute their leadership value with the size of the mob (max 10 of course). Wierdboys can even use the mob rule to increase their leadership value for psychic tests! Of course your correct when saying fearless doesn't help when your enemy is trying to bore into your brain or suck it out, I subscribe to the notion that anything resembling an attack directly to the brain (mind war, Doom of Mal) tests against the models leadership stat as this seems to be the most appropriate to test the model's mind power; it's nothing to do with fear. That's my thoughts, happy to be corrected. Cheers

Hi there Matt. You got some of the Ork part wrong in this video. The codex states:
"Mob Rule: [yadayada fluff]...Ork mobs may always choose to substitute the number of Orks in their mob for their normal Leadership value. If an Ork mob numbers 11 or more models, it has the Fearless special rule". So Fearless is just an added bonus on top of having their Ld substituted. Another example of Mob rule influencing Leadership and not just Morale is a weird boy rolling for psychic tests with their modified Ld value (and as explained in the FAQ, it's capped at 10).

Hi, Matt nothing to do with the video in question but when will you do more fantasy battle report as I have missed your tomb kings, I know your having fun with your new Necrons but I would like to see more battle reports for your fantasy fans.
