Quick 'n Dirty: Imperial Fists Tactical Marine

DownloadDownload (Vault Members Only)

It's Quick 'n Dirty Episode 3! This week, I bring you a Space Marine Tactical Marine painted in the Imperial Fists Chapter colours. Army Painter "Daemonic Yellow" spray paint is the key to churning out Imperial Fists quickly - yellow is one of the most difficult colours to paint quickly without it.

Parts of this video are timelapsed at 2x regular speed; excluding drying times, this model took less than 30 minutes to paint.

@Erock: I use the same brushes I used in this video for pretty much any detail work - 00 for larger areas and 5/0 for smaller parts.
Erock (Over a year ago): - delete
Hey, what kind of brush did you use for the painting the tactical symbol? Oh, and fear the Fist!

@Syrinx-Command: As I understand it, the trim colour on Imp Fists varies depending on which Company they're in, as it does with other Codex chapters. Someone can feel free to correct me on this though.
Syrinx-Command (Over a year ago): - delete
Love the series though 5/5

I always thought imp fists had red trim???

@lepto: Cleaning up the wash pools is almost mandatory over lighter colours like yellow. Ideally I would have thinned the wash down somewhat as well to limit the pooling, but either method can work on its own.

Great job!
Having ruined a few yellows myself, I saw you break out the sepia and I was like "Noooooo"- Seeing you clean up the larger pools of wash quickly changed that... Why didn't I think to do that?
Thanks for posting was very helpful!

Love the citadel washes, they make the detail comme out so nicely as if you were highlighting or blending.
