--------------------------

1. Painting Deathmatch & Origin
Perhaps you like browsing the MWG forums on a daily basis like me, if you do, you might have seen the Painting Deathmatch section. This is a small one-vs-one painting competition in which both competitors paint the same miniature and at the end of the month, let the rest of the forum decide who is declared the winner.

The idea for a painting deathmatch has been invented by Epic Duck Mike who wanted a fun head-on to show off power with A Luna. During the whole process, the idea got more popular and a month later the painting deathmatch was blown to a MONTHLY EVENT! This event is being kept alive by super(moderator) Edsgotjive and A Luna. Now, since July 2009, the painting deathmatch has risen in members and many people already had a challenge with one and another.

2. King of the Hill
The KotH-DM is different from the normal deathmatches, hence why I wrote this content. It's basically an all VS all. Rules will be stated at the bottom. The actual contest starts on January 17. On that date, all miniatures are posted painted by our group of painters.
A group of painters have come forward who will all paint up the same model, no conversions and no basing. The basing is limited to a dry base of any sort (display plint/normal base, all allowed).
Painting is up to the painter, aslong as you show everyone your best.

People who entered will get HARSH feedback/critism on their miniatures. They will really get torned apart. We have four judges who will not give their eyes rest until every single bit of every miniature has been reflected on. Our judges are:

1. Yurii (Gorgon_locke's contact person. Multiple Golden Demon winner, yeah, he'll tear you apart).
2. Smartah (She will eat your mini's after Yurii slaughtered them.
3. DarkKnightFXR (KOTH-DM was his idea so I'm going to let him take a part in this. I am sure he'll come up with some pretty harsh feedback).
4. Epic Duck Mike, who couldn't make it in time to paint a mini up, but he'll happily tear yours apart.

2.1 The miniature
The miniature which is going to be painted up is from Enigma Miniatures, Dark Vlad:

It is a challenging miniature for our contestants.

Contestants
As I promised, there are a load of contestants entering the KotH challenge, choosen by the forum members. Every single person has been choosen by painting skills, meaning that this competition is a high level competition. Now on to the list of people!

Blue
A fairly new painter who climbed up the ranks fast. His skills developed quickly and now he was the first one to be adressed for entering the challenge.

Djinn24
Almost a member of MWG for a year now, he just walked right in and showed off his stuff. Recognized for his painting skills and good advice (also on his BLOG), he is now ready for the competition.

Durf
Considered the Chuck-Norris of the mwg board (by me & such), he lives up to that reputation, crushing several people in the DM-headliner event! He will proove his supremacy over the rest of the painters with this mad skills.

Gorgon_locke
Like Durf, not someone who posts a lot but is very present on the forums. He shows his amazing miniatures and is sure to blow some minds. After Durf, there hasn't been anyone who dominated the DM-headliner as much as Gorgon_locke.

Keithaw
A face who isn't very talkative but speaks with miniatures. His tyranids are the cleanest ones I have seen in a while.. and he's doing them on army quality! Imagine that being his army quality, get ready to see what he can really do.

Midge913
Midge913 could be the newest around on the forum boards. A happy fellow who likes being a happy fellow. First to submit his finished Dark Vlad pictures to me. Get ready, because I know they're good.

More Dakka
Being in countless deathmatches, including headliners, he won his way through the ranks. Prooving that he lives up to his name, More is always better, and Dakka is always yellow. You better appreciate these pics, it was a pain to find them.

Rhino
Geez are all competitors the silent types? Rhino, almost a year on the forum and it's serious business with him. A chaos warhound or a necromunda heavy stubber, he paints it all, probably has it all too.

Sonofkitrinos
The latest addition to the list of painters. He was doubted slightly when he wanted to enter but was accepted among the list shortly after that. He paints for a very good cause so I suggest you check it out here: LINKY.

Stevey293
A wonderous, generous man. Stevey293 got accepted into the list of painters for the KotH but he stepped out. Then he stepped in again. But then he stepped out. Now he's back in and I'm not going to let him step out again. He generously offered the first prize for the winner of the KotH challenge! Give him an award!

A Luna
Last but not least? Me. What's to say? I kind of stopped painting for a while but the KotH challenge brought the spirit back in me. I even finished as first in the race of who would finish painting Dark Vlad the first.

#3:
A bag of 10 random assorted unpainted resin bases by various brands.
Donated by A Luna. Would be silly only having a first and second prize no?

#Runners-up:
