Dunno if this is correct or not but if I read the rules right, since you hit the vehicle with your ram and it explodes, you remove it and place the models inside in the space where it occupied, they would then get deffrolla'd as the vehicle continues to move through that area.

A lack of armour leaves vital parts of these vehicles vulnerable.
If a vehicle is Open-topped, add a +1 modifier to any rolls on the Vehicle Damage table (this is cumulative with other modifiers).

IMO fliers are broken until they FAQ in more skyfire. Most codexes have nothing with skyfire capability other than the new fliers. I'm sure GW didn't do that on purpose to push sales of fliers, they would never do something like that...
