Reaper Bugbear Miniature

I painted this Reaper Miniature over a period of about two weeks for a player that was running a Bugbear Rogue in a Dungeons and Dragons game.

An Image

Paint Brush: Raphael 8404 No. 1 and Windsor and Newton Series 7 No. 2

The Skin

I painted the bugbear skin with the following Reaper triad. When I had finished the highlights and shadows, I applied a very think glaze of Badab Black (Citadel Wash).

Coldstone Grey
Stormcover Grey
Icy Grey
Badab Black

The Hair

The Bugbear's hair was painted with Chaos Black and drybrushed with Icy Grey. Once the dry brush was finished I applied a wash of Badab Black to tone the brightness down a bit.

The Leather

The leather armor is painted with a base of Scorched Brown mixed with Reaper Walnut Brown. I highlighted the raised areas with a mix of the basecoat and Tallarn Flesh.

Armor Scales

The armor scales were basecoated with Citadel Tin Bitz. A light wash of Devlan Mud was added to give some depth to the recesses. A mix of Tin Bitz and Mithril silver was applied on the higher surfaces for highlights.

Mithril Silver

Cloth

The cloth was painted with Citadel Scab Red, and shaded with a light coat of Badab Black.

Wow, again i wish i could paint like that!

Interesting, common fact that some one might not know; Bugbears are real and can survive the vacuum of space.

Will do, I'll take some more photos tonight.
