I'm wondering if using a spatula would be faster with these?

Obviously cost is an issue though.

These just are not cost effective.
GW Texture 12ml - £2.30 - £0.19/ml
Vallejo Colour Textures 200ml - £6.25 - £0.03/ml
Vallejo White Textures 200ml - £4.99 - £0.02/ml
GW is 6.3-9.5 times more expensive per ml.

I was very curious about these, and my fears were realized. Thank you for saving me a couple dollars! I prefer just using sand, pva or super glue, and painting over it, looks far better and you can pick and choose the earth tone colors you want for the dirt, etc.
