This is my only ork model and I didn't even buy it! I won this stompa in an event hosted by a GW near me. And if this wasn't enough my brother won the other superheavy which was a skullhamma fortress. This was painted before in simple metals but my brother played speadfreaks and the army is red. I decided I would try my hand at painting ork stuff. As you can see from the pictures I got into doing checkers and some flames. Also I highlighted the grots to be very bright to stand out from the red. I also like to do small details so I painted every visible bolt and rivet with boltgun metal. Also I wanted to do paint chipping off because orks would not have a perfect scratch free war machine. I first put scorched brown were the paint chipped, then boltgun just inside the brown and to make it look like it even went into the metal I used mithril silver.
