New Terrain and Table - Update 5/07

Hey all. Working on a new 6x4 table and some terrain pieces for the table. Wanted to make it so that it looked awesome and terrain is not symmetric so that there is actually some strategy involved in terrain/cover. The section on the left is a layer of drywall filler and has the menofix embed in it. Drew the cobblestone design and will now have to carve all that out.....gonna take a while..ouch. Anyways let me know what you think. As always all comments, criticism and suggestions are welcome.

Alright we have some updates. The river might look too blue (bright) but once I add the water effect/gel medium it will look much darker. Also it is actually darker than what it looks like but the photos looks bright from the lighting.
As always comments, criticism, and suggestions are most welcome.

The Ork totem is just styrofoam that I cut with an knife. The section on the left is a layer of drywall filler and has the menofix embed in it. Drew the cobblestone design and will now have to carve all that out - its in the text at the top.

Very nice, I would ask how you made the Ork totem and the tiles/symbol on the other side of your field (not that I know what that's supposed to be exactly =p)
falknerblitz (Over a year ago):
You are exactly right. I have a few of them from my electronics classes and just thought of it when I came across them a couple days ago.
Exarch-of-Khaine (Over a year ago):
really nice, I like it. What did you use to gouge out the trenches, looks like the work of a soldering iron, but I could be wrong.
falknerblitz (Over a year ago):
The table is made in 3 4x2 sections so it can be changed around and can be used as a 4x4 - so it is for fantasy, 40k, warmachine, hordes, and anything else you can think of. Also it will be be massive display board while I'm not playing a game.
The ork totem is from warhammer online - I believe. I've had an account since beta so its been a while since I got the image, don't really remember much. It will be paint to be the evil sun with blood dripping down the mouth.
Why is it not 5/5...well its not perfect and its not finished...hmm

Thanks for all the comments guys and keep em coming.

Ok, I have few guestions:
1. Is the table made for wh fb or wh 40k or both?
2. Is that ork totem thingy from warhammer online?
3. Why isn't this 5/5?
For now, that's all folks!

I think I'm not going to put any permanent terrain pieces on the cobblestone part. Probably some modular house, buildings and ruins you can place so that you can switch up between a fortress, town, city, ruins, etc.
Boon (Over a year ago):
exceptional!
Ashran (Over a year ago):
That's really cool! Are you planning on making that cobble part like a semi fortress?
Yoyomansizzle (Over a year ago):
i wish i had a gaming table i have to use my dining table...
