This mini did not take me too long to paint, and the socket he stands on was incredibly fun to make. i started off with a plain wooden block, and went from there. the side that looks like crumbling rock is made by burning the socket with a lighter, and then hitting the charred bits with a hammer, or something hard.

The idea for this mini was that he is a dwarf that has entered some ancient home, temple, whatever, and found it to be abandoned and empty. not unlike Gimli when he enters Moria, although here i am afraid he is all alone. the base is a tiled floor with some upturned tiles, giving it a damaged look. two spears stick out from the ground in front of him, and spider webs are making their way around them. (the spider webs are not real spider webs, it didnt take me that long to paint this mini they are made from glue that i mixed with a slight amount of grey paint. the glue is a brand called UHU purchased in Deutschland. i dont know if it is sold in canada :/ i am particularly proud of the shield on the mini which i did freehand. what do you guys think? as for the pants, bottom of tunic and shoes of the mini, im sorry to say that i was rushing to finish the model and i neglected to paint them with the same effort i gave the rest of the model. anyhow, please tell me what you think, what i can improve on, usw, usw.
