This is a great idea. I'm starting the process of making a series of social media sites/forums for the people of my area to get together and gather as a community. My area is very segmented unfortuneately so education in any area of media interaction would be a lot of help.

I'd be interested in hearing about your insights for creating cross-platform media projects such as contests or projects that use flicker/facebook/youtube to to reach a wider spectrum of people.

Im am very interested in this avenue. I am actually looking to get into my own shop but I know I have a lot more to learn about running this type of business. But thanks for the inspiration with this video collection you are starting. Oh and btw my wife love the idea of making a little extra money for my hobby with my hobby. I recently created a miniature wargamming club in my local community and was looking for ways to reach new members. The current members love battle reports and I am wondering how relative they are for attracting new members? Truthfully, they feel as if they're the life blood of the club. Is there a possibility to use my battle reports and attract new members?

I've been doing battle reports for over a year now (picture reports; no camcorder) and have gotten nothing but positive feedback from the online community. Honestly I've been using your BMBR as a blue print for everything I discuss during my reports. I'd like to take it a step further and invest some money in better equipment. What should I buy? Like you said I have a wife and child so money is an issue...but if I can use my batreps to make money to fund my hobby then I'm all in! Just tell me what to buy lol

Anyways, I really do appreciate all the advice you have for us. I'll be watching MWG closely over the next few days. Hopefully, I'll be doing my first video report by the weekend

I'm going to add in my vote for interest. I'd love to be able to have a way to pay for my hobbies! In college (money drain) with an apartment (money drain) while being a part of my best friend's wedding (money drain) and looking to a possible engagement and wedding in my own future (HUGE money drain) all with a 9.5 hour a week job (income?). Doesn't leave a lot of money for the hobby (and yes, I'm planning to have a better job next year once I'm done with college) so any means of getting surplus income would be greatly appreciated.
