MiniWarGaming is approaching its second birthday this coming October, so we thought we would celebrate by doing what we did almost two years ago -
a big YouTube Video Contest!
Our Grand Prize is a
$500 Gift Certificate to our online store, so listen up if you want to participate!
It is
VERY important that you read all of the rules in this post. Failure to comply to any of the rules will result in the disqualification of any of your entries.
Basically, in order to enter you must create a video (i.e. one video, not a series) that is related to wargaming, post it on YouTube, and link it as a video response to our main YouTube Video Contest video here:

BASIC RULES
1. The video MUST be about something related to wargaming. Check out the categories below for some ideas.
2. The video MUST be completely YouTube compliant. Basically if YouTube removes it, you’re out of the contest.
3. The video MUST contain the name “MiniWarGaming” or the logo somewhere in it. We suggest you be creative in where you place this. You could just place it as a link at the bottom of the video or in the intro of the video, but we want to see more creativity than that (think of a sign in the background, or a billboard, etc.).
4. The video MUST be posted on YouTube, and as a video response to our main video (
Click here for the contest video).
5. The video description MUST contain the following information:
* A link to
http://www.miniwargaming.com (make sure you include the http://)
* The category that it is being submitted to (see below)
* A description of the video
6. The video MUST have been created after August 1, 2009. You cannot enter old videos.
7. The video MUST be submitted before midnight, September 30, 2009, YouTube time.
8. There are no limits on the number of submissions, but we suggest spending more time on one video.
9. When submitting your video to this contest you agree to give MiniWarGaming the rights to use the video in any way they want (e.g. to reproduce parts of it on our website). MiniWarGaming will give you credit if they ever do use parts of your video.
10. You must be 13 years or older in order to enter. If you are under 13, you must have written parental consent.
Send parental consent to:
MiniWarGaming
411 East Main St
Welland, Ontario, Canada
L3B3X3
Or fax it to 1-888-561-6860
CATEGORIES
Your video must be submitted to one (and only one) of the following categories:
1. Stop Motion
2. How-to (i.e. articles on how to do various aspects of wargaming, e.g. how to paint space marines, how to magnetize a dreadnought, how to use green stuff)
3. Battle Reports (try to make them exciting)
4. Machinima (i.e. videos made from wargaming-related video games)
5. Everything Else (i.e. anything that doesn’t fit into the above categories)
Remember rule #5 which states that you must say which category you are entering in your video description.
