Correct me if im wrong but i didnt see the doom make any instinctive behaviour rolls as he is not a synapse creature and has instinctive behaviour-feed.

Regarding to people saying that Matt was stacking the terrain in his favor, I tottally disagree! As Matt said more terrain the better,it offers more variety to the gameplay. Part of the reason why the Grey Knights lost in my opinion is because he did not use tactics that were effective for the way the board was set up. Just staying in one spot and shooting will get you nowhere. Great battle report, keep up the great work!

im bothered by what reason was the dreadknight not used in combat agaisnt the doom? it had a nemisis greatsword and counts as a monsterous creature aswell wouldn't it just cut through the invulnerable save as well it just felt llike the dreadknight was wasted... still enjoyed the battle report

Everyone seems to think the Doom is OP, but that's just because he got off his psychic powers and didn't get buried in attacks. I once had the Doom drop in right next to my BT Crusade squad, it's power did nothing then it took a wave of bolter fire to the face. It's really subjective.

hé mat, i don't know if this is already posted but if you look at the assaulting through cover and greanades etc, you see that you don't get I1 if the enemy is already locked in combat

Pretty dicey game, but MWG Matt might have done a lot better than he did if he had taken more little guys, and maybe a Tervigon instead of a second Tyrannofex. Genestealers are just too expensive to throw into the face of a gunline army and their high initiative is offset by the GK's halberds, but if MWG Matt had thrown a clump of Termagants or Hormagaunts at them first the GK's various tricks would have been less effective. THEN he could throw in the Genestealers and wipe the floor with them.

Yeah, he still tabled the other Matt, but let's face it, that was the Doom's doing more than anything.

I watched the batrep again paying a bit more attention. In Tyranid Tactica you mention that you have not used T-Fexes before.

I have a suggestion regarding kitting them out; try taking cluster spines rather than stinger salvo-the large blast heavily outweighs losing AP in my opinion (especially against MEQ who get their saves anyway).

Admittedly, this is based on experience against Tyranids rather than playing them myself (I play DE), but you might give it a try if you want.

@SpectreSenence: if we were making them on a 10 thats because the IC attached to the units made them, maknig them LD 10 instead of 9. If we did them on 10 still after they died then yes i made a mistake!

@Polaris3000: yeah i know! Man im a veteran player but a newbie when it comes to grey knights lol, i totally spaced when i moved the dreadknight into the 6"range lol. It's amazing what you notice when you watch yourself play, rather than when you're actually playing ( does that make sense? lol)

Changing the rules didn't factor in since GK got tabled, I do agree that it shouldn't have been done though. on the terrain side of things i like it, the board should have 25% terrrain anyway and it didn't really stop the shooting, there was just lots of luck from the cover saves.

I enjoyed the game as always when Matt plays, I'm disappointed that Matt gave himself advantages. changing the rules on kill points was totally unfaire, its one of the greyknights advantages to have low kill points but they have less models to play with, the big buildings also made it a easy win for the nids. bring back the necrons again Matt
