Finally a game with decent amount of terrain. Games get boring when there is a anthills in the middle of the hill surrounded by a few pebbles. It becomes a shot with very little tactics. The rulebook says you should about 25% of the board for terrain. I hardly see that here

Look Matt, I know GK can be considered a better codex than nids, but is it really necessary to stack the terrain in the nids favor? Alot of LOS blocking terrain that gives 3+ cover saves, when your running an all stealer list? Plus you modify your kill points rather than simply playing a different game type? Look normaly I'm happy just to sit and watch but arn't we being a bit silly here, even if your think (and I would agree) that GK are a much better codex? Thanks, oh and just wanna say most of the batreps on this site are quite good, they help me through my warhammer addiction.

@AaronMint: Actually they only get the I bonus (I call it a bonus at least) when fighting daemons and (I think) psykers. Basically, they're just regular thunder hammers unless you're smacking bloodletters.

Gk:s usually have a 24" shooting bubble, so making you move first allows him to shoot his psycannons as heavy,and lets him stay in cover while u move over "no mans land"

Why I try to go second in kill points is to make sure I get the crucial shots off I need before they are too late. I play Tau and often times my opponent would hide his important transports out of my line of sight. My Broadsides aren't exactly mobil and so making them start with line of sight could truly save me, however I have no idea why you wouldn't try to seize the initiative in anything but objective based matches.

I would have infiltrated 3 units of genestealers including the broodlord group and outflanked 2 units rather than deploying all groups on the board. This would have the GN into the centre of the board where they didn't have very good LOS to you deployment zone.
