Very good report! Bringing up the rules as they are used is a stroke of genius!
There was one round of combat in the entire game... That was somewhat disappointing, I wanted to see the paladin deathstar come up against a multi-assault of BAngels Assault marines and Death Company, but it didn't happen.
Good win to Dave though.

1)Not sure if there were loads of mistakes or just that they all favoured one side but this seems to be the worse batrep since introducing 'we woz wrong videos'.

2)Dave always seems to use awesome tactics by accident. Here he rushes forward takes out dreads, the only long range threat. Then retreats and is told the grey knights are all short ranged. Near perfect tactics apart from deep striking raider.
He keeps on doing the right thing in batreps but makes out that he guesses or pretends to be ignorant of how good his moves actually are.

@Mecha82: I have challenge him to a 3000 point pie plate battle. He gets 3000 points of BA I get 1000 of Tau, my oldest gets 1000 points of vanilla marines, and my youngest gets 1000 points of IG. If we win Dave gets three pies in the face but if we win we each get one..... LOL

He has to use shrouding at the beginning of the shooting phase, he didn't use it when you shot the heavy bolter at his paladins, then when you wounded with your lascannon he used it?

Something tis rotten in the state of Denmark

I thought that you had to put wounds up to the amount of wounds a model has before you alocate to another one, IF and only IF they have the same gear? From what Andrew said in the video he allocated one wound o one "regular guy" and then another to another "Regular guy".
Shouldn't the first guy die and the last one stay as is with no wounds?

Or did they have different war gear?

Oooooooh, so that's why they're called "pie plate challenges"

@tyranid96:
Actually I only lost by one kill point as well, and you cheated with your aegis special rule, because it does not bring down your own psychic tests, only increases your opponents, and they do not stack

+1 definitely
If you dont need meltas deepstriking behind Tanks or something, dont deepstrike on a small board like that. Crap misshaps, lands behind cover without LoS and most important: you loose turns before assaulting.
A Lanraider going Pedal-> covers 24 inches in 2 rounds which gives you an almost certain assault on turn 3. With Deepstriking you get to Assault on turn 3 the earliest if nothing bad happens.
Plus Tyranid96 was kinda right in the BatRep... Bad Crap happening to Landraiders deepstriking is almost a set rule.

Fun Batrep to watch though.

@dmaster537: this from a man who probably likes his rule book before reading it

the grey knight player did fine but dave was on form everyone gets rules wrong atleast dave notices afterwards and pointed most of them out give it a rest and they arent 40k speacialists they are people you film there battle reports true be told MWG isnt anything speacial anyone can pick up a camera and record funny battle reports and put them on the internet the reason everyone like MWG is becasue they dont care what people like you think of them (i dont mean any offense to MWG just pointing out it isnt rocket science)

At 3:24 he put wounds on 2 normal guys. By using the word normal he implies they were the same. That means instead of 2 taking 1 wound one model would have died. The only thing that annoys be about your battle reports Save is that you never do wound allocation at all it skews the game and allows you to take off whomever you want. Wound allocation means you may lose your sgt or meltagunner easier but it means that if 7 wounds were caused on 5 guys you give the regular guys with no special weapons the extra 2 providing there is two normal guys. Thi means if they fail both there saves it is only 2 dead not 4

@GreyKnightsftw: An Apothecary costs 75 points. Paladins will usually be shot at with low AP or high strength weapons, all which ignore FNP. Those 75 points are better spend elsewhere.

2 normal guys took 1 wound, that means 1 is dead.

@tryanid96: Oh, sorry that I didn't notice. And you bet it is. 20 wounds, 2+ armor save, 5 invulnerable save, and feel no pain? That's called awesomeness.

@GreyKnightsftw: If you see properly i did have an apothacary in the unit and a 10 many pally unit is fun as heck to use
mooiboom (Over a year ago): - delete
the thing with grey knight's is don't give any unit all sorts of upgrades bring more models. Like i bring in 1000 points 19 grey knights 10 interceptors, 2 rhino's, dreadnought and a brotherhood champion
AngelsofRetribution (Over a year ago): - delete
As a Grey Knight player myself, I believe Andrew should've had less grey knights and included the terminators instead. And why would you field a 10 man paladin squad, have it be joined by an independent character, and not include an apothecary. Great game, anyhow.
Dies-Irae (Over a year ago): - delete
Hey Dave. First of all that was a really cool and fun game to watch.
I just wonder, why do you always deep-strike your LandRaider? Especially in this game he didnt really have anything to pop AV14. And you couldnt use it until turn 5 (or4?).
