Love the crazy eyes! Oh, and @Ichshadon, how can you find this information useful if you will not be using it...

Excellent help - not a Grey Knight Librarian user usually - will give a try

people that don't like the trust need to get over it...lol.. Seeing this from going through college for video production/editing, 3d modeling and animation... Thus been there done that... Perhaps after more vids he'll get his stuffz in gear... As you can tell he seems to get a little more comfortable later in the vid.... @dyimos:

Great vid, gives some people that are start Grey Knights something think about.
I usually run my Liberian with his nemesis force sword, empyrean brain mine, The Shrouding, Warp rift, and sanctuary. I get a 4+ in combat and the mines gives me chance to stop a challenger from moving that turn. Besides that I just put him in a group of 5 terminators, and deep strike them in. And if there is a servo skull near from my techmarine, one less dice to roll for scatter.
Corsac (9 months ago): - delete
If Librarian is closest he gets 2+ "Look out sir!" to take of his wound and place on some one else.
You should mention it.
Paladins? I don%u2019t play Gey Knights, but aren%u2019t they all can throw "Look out sir!" rolls for etch other?

Just a few points on the vid and the comments:

Hammer of Wrath ? I think you mean Might of Titan? HoW is the new Jump pack assault.

All Nemesis Force Weapons are Unusual Power weapons as per the GK FAQ

Nice Vid with some useful info.

This is mainly a question, but wouldn't it be great to have librarian up front of squad, cause he will be close to enemy to deny the witch, he can use his 2+ save on high ap weapons but on low ap like lascannons etc gets 2 look out sir n even if that fails has 5 inv to fall back on...? Never tried it as play 'nids so not really my bag but that's how I'd imagine u could play a heavily armoured independent character

I'd like to hear your argument why the GK Librarian is better than Coteaz. Here is my thinking.

Coteaz:

Only one hundred points, same mastery level and powers access. Divination >> codex powers. Might of Titan is nice, but Str 10 Daemon hammers (with hammer-hand which still is applied before the doubling per the GK codex) is plenty to take down land raiders in CC.

Artificer armor, still 2+ but doesn't stop overrun for units like Purifiers or DCA.

3 wounds is a bonus, especially when facing runes of warding.

With his Spy Network you will go first 65% of the time. With first blood now this is key. You can setup with impunity b/c you will be seized on only 1/36 of the time further maximizing this advantage.

Makes henchmen troops. Especially synergistic if you are running paladins by providing access to dirt cheap units.

Cons:
T3 and no invulnerable save. You are going to be hiding this guy away anyway.

No psychic hood, but with the new rules these a significantly less effective.

Here are some other tricky HQs to analyze.

1) Which of three Inquisitor types have the best war gear. In 5th it was clearly the Xenos, but now I can see arguments for the OM version.

2) Castellan Crowe, too nerfed to be viable or are Purifiers as troops still adequate compensation for a 150 point useless, soft HQ?

Remember, Matt and Dave were wooden when they first started doing this. It will feel natural in no time.

nice video.
just donot forget to bink in video.lol
Ichshadon (9 months ago): - delete
Hmm...I'm not a Grey Knight player, but honestly I didn't find this video that useful....

You barely mentioned any useful psy-power + unit combinations or ways to use your librarian and focused alot on where to place him in a unit and stuff like that....

It'd be way more interesting to see some cheesy combinations of psy powers and different unit types in the army, and you only did that with divinity a little..

@cmac993: i Did mate maybe you should, under the melee weapons of the 41st millennium heading under types of force weapons it states "if it's an axe or halberd, its a force axe;" i havnt read FAQ's so it might negate it there but in the rule book thats the wording
-1
Verral (9 months ago): - delete
@cmac993: Actually the rule book and faq list halabards as unusual force weapons like ellisjack2010 said.
cmac993 (9 months ago): - delete
@tommen: Nope, halberd counts as sword, read the rulebook.
ellisjak2010 (9 months ago): - delete
@tommen: wrong, most, if not all Force weapons in the GK codex are Usual force weapons and AP3 as stated in the GK FAQ
tommen (9 months ago): - delete
One error i picked up was that a force halberd is classed as an axe and therefore unwieldy and inititive step 1

Yay, another miniwargamer!
Good eksplaination of psychic. Most of the the tactics can be applied to any character, since you want to keep any character allive, even the close combat monsters.
