First up are my 16 gaunts with easy to do conversions

Gaunts
===========================
I was in my kitchen and that one gaunt was top heavy so I grabbed a cheerio and it balanced it, I ate it afterwords
As you can see some are looking up above the group I covered how to do this in my last post

Here are some close up of some conversions
This one got an eye blown off, I used my cone shaped file and dug it in
This one got a few bullet holes on its leg
This has some armor chipped off, I used my clippers
Some bullet holes on this one and a bullet that grazed the armor
This one's jaw is gone
And this one got dinged across its side

Where the wings connect
Yeah I had the wings connect to the chimney stacks because that was the first place I set the wings on. I could have mounted them else where but then I will likely have to cut off pieces of the wings to make them fit and it will require green stuff work and I'm just scared of working with green stuff.
Initially I wanted to drill a shallow hole on the chimneys so I don't drill all the way through the chimney thus ruining other side. I intended to have the magnets connect through the gap but they were really not strong enough. So I decided to just drill right through and just have it connect then.
Now when I did it for the right wing the magnets worked only because they acted like a peg more so then a magnet for the wings. The magnet on the wings fitted perfectly with the hole and so even though the wings were heavy and would of fell the magnet peg stopped it. I was lucky with the right wing.
Now for the left wing, it was a nightmare. Apparently I drilled a hole slightly too big and when I tried to make a magnet "peg" there was just enough space that the magnets did not lodge itself to support the weight. Now I tried everything to try and get it to work, I re-sealed the hole with green stuff and let it dry over night so I can try and drill a perfect sized hole, unfortunately as I drilled the green stuff came loose and fell off. It kinda worked for the magnet on the back end but the front end magnet was no good. So as much as I wanted to use magnets I decided to just pin it which is what I have now.
So in other words if you plan on making a winged Tyrant my way, just pin it don't bother magnetizing the wings, the magnets are too weak, you then have a hole on the chimneys and yeah... just don't try with magnets because you'll be working with green stuff and super glue and that's a bad combination.
Now I know where the wings connect doesn't make sense but really who cares and if it looks like this its doesn't matter.
And here are some pictures when I did the carapace
I miscalculated and when I mount the wings on him if I put him on the a normal flat base the wings will touch the ground so I need to put him on a raised base. Now the McFarlane dragon where I got the wings from came with a painted piece of terrain so I plan to use that. I'm gonna try and stick a long paper clip where the feet will be and hopefully that can support the model
This is the McFarlane dragon I used for the wings
The tail could be used for a Trygon
If you live in the US you can order them from amazon but I live in Canada and they don't ship here, but luckily I found a gaming store what sold some. This cost me $15 Canadian and it very worth it for the parts.

Thorn back conversion
=============================
On a side note I made a thorn back conversion for my Carnifex
Get your plain carapace
File out holes like so
Get those massive and ugly scything talons form the warriors' frame
and stick it like so
Clip it just more than you need and adjust it so it fits in there tightly, like really cram it in there you want it to stay in place.
Repeat for the other one and maybe for the smaller one and you get this
So hope you like it, please rate and comment.
Now I got some wings to paint
*update*
I've finished painting the wings
Just the membrane
Finished
And that's it complete winged Hive Tyrant
