@bountylord: I think I will go for more walkers and the Avatar, those models are both beautiful and deadly! Also, I am a collector/painter first and player second, so getting a competetive army right away is not as important to me as getting an army that looks great on the table. Therefore, hybrid is just fine with me, I just love the curves of all those skimmers

eldar can be played as a strong army, don't underplay them if you build your composition well. I would buy some rangers and upgrade them to pathfinders. In 6th they become your best troops choice. Also like everyone is saying walkers are great. You should decide if you want a foot list (in which case 2 more w.lords and an avatar would be due) or a mechanized list (which isnt quite as beast this edition.) hybrid eldar lists don't do well in the competative arena

@Fionnvar: Thank you! I have watched a lot of his vids already, they are great

Walkers sounds good, especially with the 6th ed squadron rules. A lot of firepower able to be tailored to face anything.
Also, a free S10 Impact Hit with a Wraithlord againt vehicles is also nice, considdering his low numbers of attacks.

I am expecting to lose a lot in the beginning, Eldars are as far as I know not as easy and forgiving as for say space marines to play, my main reason for chosing them is that they look stunning!

my first advice would be to see some vids (and armylists in the comment section of his youtube channel) from theraf2U... a very skilled eldar-player

http://www.miniwargaming.c-om/channel/theraf2U

my second advice would be 2 more warwalker (for a full squadron of 3).
Then a Wraithlord.

I'm not a huge fan of a 5-man Avenger Squad. I go only ten-man. Avengers (and Eldar in general) are squishi... most times I put them in Wave Serpents.

Eldar have many options but they are not a strong army overall.. Expect losing with the 4th ed. codex

@Fionnvar: Thank you!
I am yet still to play with them, the army is very small. I have bought the box, so a walker, 10 more Guardians, 5 more Dire Avengers and a Wave Serpent is on it's way - any advice where to go next?
(I would like to go for a shooty list)
