Hehe lots of confusion over what the Eldar units are there
Other than that fun to see some allies played by two people

When making an Bladevane attack, the Dark Eldar jetbikes make a turboboost move. The rule of the turboboost move specifically says that no other voluntary action can be done afterward. That means they cannot do the 2D6 move in the assault phase.

My lord. Is it me or does every Dark Eldar player Matt battle run a terrible TERRIBLE list?

Now thats what I call a good start to an interesting match up!

Good to see the Eldar (& the Dark Eldar)... we dont get to see enough of them!

Terrible, terrible bladevane attack by the DE player... Wasted a squad of 10 Reavers by placing them in probable charge range.

Wyches and Witchblades? Wish they had some

Runes of Warding, Runes of Witnessing, and Shadow in the Warp have all been re-worded in the FAQs to state the the psyker "rolls an extra die" rather than specifying that the psyker rolls 3 dice. The FAQ statement saying that SitW and Rune of Witnessing cancel one another out is no longer in the FAQ.
So, an Eldar psyker with Runes of Witnessing who is also in the area effect of Shadow in the Warp would roll 4D6, discarding the highest die, for his psychic test.

what did the wyches and reavers get for there combat drugs

@whitewing: Sorry but the Night Fighting doesn't stack. The rulebook states that units within 24" have the stealth rule in place of the Shrouded rule (p124)

Starting to feel a little ripped off with my vault membership not alot of 40k/Warhammer batreps as of late and when we do get them they seem to be getting shorter and more boring.

Matt, where did you get your mycetic spore?
SpectreSenence (Over a year ago): - delete
Hey Matt, there was a change in poison attacks with wounding it says it wounds on a fixed number unless a lower number would be required to wound pg 40. Tyranids are deadlier with such access to this rule

@fulcrum: They used their Bladevanes. When Reavers turbo-boost over an unengaged enemy unit, each Reaver that passes over causes D3 Str 4 AP- hits.

And they have the Skilled Rider USR which makes them auto-pass Dangerous Terrain and gives them a 1 to their jink save.
matzieq (Over a year ago): - delete
@fulcrum: No sir, they used their bladevanes, and they can do this whenever they pass over something.
fulcrum (Over a year ago): - delete
I'm sorry did I just see those Jet bikes turbo boost & shoot the biovores or was that something else that shot them? Can't do anything else if u turbo boost. Also were they rolling for difficult terrain & u just didn't show it? Those craters sure look difficult to me as did the forest the bikes were in meaning they should have been taking dangerous terrain checks.

Im so glad you didn't forget your nids, matt!

Ugh. As a tyranid player I'm not feeling this list matt. I would hate to play with that many warriors. I'm calling a Tyranid loss here.
MasterOfDimac (Over a year ago): - delete
Matt shouldn't you be rolling 3 D6 and taking two lowest for charge ranges through difficult/dangerous terrain?

@damnhippies: yep pg.47 of rulebook under; ASSAULT PHASE

Wychblades, brought to you by warlocks. A better strategy might've been to have the Dark eldar wyches charge in, using their 4 invuln save to fight the warriors, then have the Seer Retinue charge in
daemonicpotato (Over a year ago): - delete
Finally, some Dark Eldar! But wait, why does he steal initiative on a 4 ? Is that Archon VECT? Eldrad Vect Karandras in 1850 pts? Wow.

@General-Cross: Ahh, cheers. I'll be sure to let my regular opponents know.
whitewing (Over a year ago): - delete
Woah now, it's my understanding that the cover saves provided by Stealth and Shrouded stack, and that during Night Fighting when things are far enough away to be effected by Shrouded they are also far enough to be affected by Stealth, giving a 4 cover save. At the very least that's how the Night Fighting rules are being interpreted at my local.
