How to Make a Space Marine drop pod
In this “How to” article I will tell you how to make a space marine drop pod.
You will need:
Scissors
Stanley Knife/craft knife
Glue stick
pva glue
5 mm foam core
1 mm card
Patience
Method
The easiest way to do this is by printing out the stencils at the end and gluing them onto the cardboard/foam using the glue stick- for the big base you only glue it on a five mm, with the slots, and then you glue another 5 mm on top of that with out the slots.
Once you have done that you will need to let the glue to dry for about 3-5 mins. Then cut everything out, foam with the Stanley knife and the cardboard with the scissors. Make sure you enlarge the print outs and bend where there is a dotted line.
Don't forget you will have to glue on some guard type things. Like so:
Now you are ready for the next step. First you get the wings and glue the 1 mm x 6 parts on either side of the wing. Then get the roof bit and slide the wings into that with a bit of PVA glue on it. Fit the wings onto the bottom base, which was on the same page as the wings.
You should now have something looking like this:
Now get your side pieces and attach them to the wing, base, and roof.
Now you can add the detail, which are on the same stencil as the side and roof. You can use either glue both should work fine.
Now put pva glue dots on - once you have base coated it black- like so:
Then you can paint it green:
Then
Over all it cost about 20 bucks and enjoy making!
