Sweet, seeing Dave learning Fantasy.
Some clarifications though:
The Hounds would probably have higher leadership for being in 12 inches of the General.
And beasts and Cavalry have Swift Movement, so the Hounds would have moved probably more.
And as others have mentioned, marching or moving at all does not have any influence on casting spells.

Page 26 says that marching prevents shooting in the shooting fase, and page 30 says that cant cast spells if they are fleeing or are absent from the board. So wizards CAN cast spells after they march.

There are other leadership based tests, like stupidity and fear. The combat checks you´re referring to are called break tests. Also, if I remember correctly, charges are declared before you try to rally fleeing units. Lastly, marching only prevents shooting, so you can still cast spells. The only time a wizard can´t cast at all is when he´s fleeing or is off the board .

Casters can still cast even when marching, only shooting is disallowed when marching (cept for some specific units such as fast cavalry which are allowed to Fire on the march if they have ranged weapons and/or ranged attacks).

As my birthday approaches I've asked my family to get me a box of Chaos Daemons for 40k. I should end up with 500-1000 points in a week or so. The reasons I chose Daemons for my 3rd 40k army included wanting to try Fantasy. My mini rulebook is on it's way, so I'll just need the army book when I decide to make the move.

Keep these videos coming, I'm going to enjoy them and they'll be useful for sure!

Marching does only prevent a unit from reforming, moving sideways or backwards and from shooting. Casters are fine, though, they are able to cast their spells.
