actually great narrative, the tyranids see a new planet in their paths, but when they land on it, they find the planet mostly dead, and then daemons appear from nowhere

@Olinser: power weapons wouldnt matter against demons tho because all of their saves are invoulnerable, aditionally he may only have rending claws on his shrike models and wanted to play wysiwyg

Matt, especially against Demons, why rending claws on the Shrikes? Pair of boneswords is only 5 points per model more, and now EVERY hit is a power weapon hit.

that sounds pretty good the army all flies down from the ship and arrive ready to destroy the objectives then the defenders spring there trap and appear caging them in with no reinforments and more defenders on the way

I would have set up the bastions as far away from each other as possible. The nids would have had to split their forces, making them weaker....
