(converted Assault Marine Legs)
Here comes Part 2 of the Modular Space Marine Vanguard Veteran (there's a mouthful!)
In this article I'll be adding detail to the Marine's legs and head using Green Stuff. A few of the photos are somewhat blurry - you'll have to forgive me that.
Legs

Starting with the Legs, I added a small ball of Green Stuff and flattened it out to form the base of a skull (Space Marines sure love sticking skulls everywhere).

The bottom of the ball was indented slightly to create a jawline, and 3 simple indents to represent the eyes and nose.

I created a similar skull on the opposite knee, and then began adding laurels around them. These were created by rolling out a piece of green stuff, cutting it to length, and then tapering the ends.

After setting the center of the laurel in place, I curved the sides up around the skull and pressed them flat.

Using a very fine point, I added a series of indents around the edges of the laurel to simulate a leaf texture.

Last, I added a few small Rivets to the bottom of the left leg just to give it a little more detail.
Head
I'm adding a Skull/Laurel combo to the forehead as well, but due to the smaller size involved, I decided to try and create it as a single detail.

A small ball of Green Stuff was pressed flat on the forehead of the Helmet. The Green Stuff behind the helmet is simply there to hold it upright for the camera, just ignore it

Using a fine point, I created a line separating the skull from the laurel with a series of small indentations.

Still using a fine point, 3 indents were added to the skull for the eyes and nose, and a series of indents created a leaf-like look to the laurel. This photo is unfortunately quite blurry.
That's it for today! There's pretty much just the Arm Magnetization to go next.
