@adamhowe98:
Heavy Gear has been around since at least 1995. Pre-dating the Tau by at least 7 years. There were even 2 Heavy Gear PC games made by Activision (1997 and 1998).

@shinto-kamikaze: It's recorded in HD but the player defaults to SD for bandwidth reasons. You just need to click the "HD" button beside Timeline Slider and it'll bump up to 720P.

Yay! Heavy Gear! I did a demo of this game at Gencon and it was a blast. Like Tim said there are a lot of advanced concepts and features to use in the game, but the core concepts and rules are easy to learn. After my one demo I bought the South starter box and you get a ton of stuff: rule book, 9 gears, and a tape measure. Also all your stats for you different units come on cards so its easy to keep track of damage and weapon load outs. I highly recommend this game.
