@IXLoiero95XI: I feel the need to mention this any time I see someone say windex: Make sure to use the Ammonia-free kind. I am told the ammonia will destroy the seals and corrode some of the internal workings over time.

@varl: Yeah you don't have to you purpose made thinners, there are alternatives, for one I use Windex. I personally though it would foam up while be sprayed but nope, it works fine.

@varl: For me, just cost. It dried quicker for me too. I don't have any evidence to say that it will damage any part of your brush.

I notice you use alcohol instead of airbrush thinner. cost aside, is there any advantage to using alcohol instead of purpose-made thinner like what Vallejo sells? does it behave any differently or have any impacts on the airbrush (melting seals, etc.)?
