First off, thanks for all the great comments! We are happy that you enjoyed the preview.

To respond to a few:

1. The DVD video will be of higher quality.
2. We will be announcing the exact contents of the DVD in the next little while. It will be a beginner DVD, so will cover beginner techniques such as drybrushing, highlighting, washing, etc.
3. That one scary part of the music is part of the soundtrack that we were using - sorry if it made you jump! (It IS a Chaos space marine)
4. We will still be doing online tutorials as well. The number of free videos that we put out will not be diminished because we are now selling DVDs.

I wonder if they'll make a tutorial for every existing model. Wood elves tutorial are especially hard to find.

I must say though that not giving the model a basecoat of black or white is a bad habit to teach beginner painters (the target audience of your movie).

Painting the area beneath your metal adeptus battle grey might not be the best idea as you can just take the metal straight from the pot and it will cover most of the time. In case it does not, just reapply the metal coat = worst case scenario, you have to spend the same amount of time on it as you do with the other method(this works for GW metallic%u2019s, have not tired the one you are using).

You might introduce water and use the pallet a bit more, as they are the finest tool for getting a smooth finish on any model.

A drybrush brush is idea for applying white glue to the base as it is durable enough to not get injured after the incident.

Finally, why not paint the gravel you put on the base. That is how everyone does it so why not your students?

I can hardly see the colour of the model when he's painting it because of the shadows. The light should be brighter.

Not to be a downer but the video as a bit of a washed out look and makes seeing the model's details very hard...plus with the painting guild so called being a series pretty much ignored I feel that this DVD will not be any more informitive then if you had purchased the book. Sorry MWG but this feels like a low blow.

Good video 4 getting a basic painted army up and plying fast. Only thing i think was bad with it was the lighting! could have had better lighting to show the details off and the highlights to its full standard 10/10 other wise.

I agree... the audio needs to be lowered when talking and the lighting is bad -- especially for a painting tutorial. Other than that, it's ok. I'm interested in knowing what makes this different from the 100+ videos that are already online? To be honest, I'm not sure I would spend the money unless there is something substantial here.

Dont like it mutch.. Im not fan of skipping undercoat, even when its a plastic mini, and using paint straight from the bottle. its just.. bad. :S
