Taking a break from Orks to paint up some ratmen!

I'm creating custom bases for all of my Skaven, greenstuffing flagstones to make it look like my army is marching through the streets of a capitol city somewhere in the Empire.

I used a Skaven Plague Monk as the base, with one of the heads from the Skaven Packmasters that comes with the Rat Ogre sprue (Luckily there are enough extra heads to not make looting one a problem and leaving one of the other Packmasters without a noggin)

The right arm is a plague monk arm holding a dagger with the blade chopped off, and the left arm is a plague monk arm as well, holding a dagger right side up with the blade chopped off. Backpack is a flame canister from Cadian shock trooper sprue and the mortar itself is a mortar from the Cadian Heavy Weapons set (Maybe one day I'll use that set for what it's actually supposed to be: Cadian Heavy Weapons...nah, I'll just keep using the parts to convert new Imperial Grots!)

I greenstuffed the tube feeding warpstone gas into the mortar and painted it up with Snot Green, Scorpion Green, and Skull White.

I was originally going to use a poisoned wind globadier as a loader, but I might convert one, now that I see the way this guy turned out. Too bad there aren't any Skaven models with arms holding out poisoned globes, that would solve everything!





Finally, this is my girlfriend whenever I start talking about Warhammer.
