Nids are one of the nicest looking armys, them and Tau, which is why I collect them. That and I like the swarmy-ness of the army.
wrabbit1986 (Over a year ago):
the biovore was a useful peice with the loss of the seperate mines it's no longer worth the points the zoanthrope is better for tanks and the pyrovore is the anti infantry however the bipvore is an incredibly cool looking model but as always the 'nids have some of the coolest models

lol though a window

i thought the biovore was a plastic model ehh im not gonna get it now i hate metal models!
carnogaunt (Over a year ago):
I don't understand why Robin Cruddace removed the options for different munitions on the Biovore, that each had their own purpose, but then added in three different types of thorax swarm that all serve roughly the same purpose. Nevertheless, I think I will be fielding them more often now that we're back to the larger templates and a points reduction.
insectasaur (Over a year ago):
that is one of my favorite changed unit because all the spore mines do the same thing now. i want one now they are awesome

our lovely biovore lol
PhenomeNorn (Over a year ago):
Biovores and Pyrovores do look great, Zoanthropes are more effective for the points. I would prob pick up either or both of the models just for the fun of putting them together. However, spore mines and flamebursts seem to be more anti-infantry and open-topped vehicles. the Vores might be good against orks and marines with fast infantry. I'd rather field 3 Zoanthropes any day, yet to see a spore mine kill a tank.

I have a Nid army from way back in 2nd edition, and am trying to find out current base size for Biovores, without buying new ones. Sort of wish you'd unboxed that part, and shown the assembled model.
nicocuijpers (Over a year ago):
i dont realy like this one cuz it shoots mines so you need mines for it and ones you are out of mines he can't do anything
Person2 (Over a year ago):
Well, I am about to start a Tyranid army in a few days...I decided on them above Necrons due to their mix of swarms and monstrous creatures. I found that it would also be a nice change for me, because I already have a good sized space marine army and I wanted something new, exciting, and different. I also thought that the models would be quite fun to paint, and I had a few ideas on converting my models. In addition, the creatures were incredibly awesome, and it sounded really fun to turn on the lights in my room and just observe a fully painted army of interstellar monsters.
