5th edition tyranid codex review
Scott here from miniwargaming2 with a review on the new tyranid codex. In this article I will detail the tyranid codex and it's ups and downs, good and bad o you will get a feel for it's worth and quality.
First off let me say Robin Cruddace did a great job of this codex.
So on with the review, this edition we have 26 pages of history in my opinion it is quite good and entertaining with plenty of battles you can reenact such as the first encouter the imperium had with them known as the death of tyran.
Then with our next section the forces of the tyranids we have a detailed look at every option available to the tyranids with a model or not. However this is not in any particular order so it can be hard to find the correct option you're looking for.
Next we have a gallery with great quality photos that I would like to see in one of miniwargaming's photo taking competitions, but yet again these are not in any particular order that I have noticed.
Finally we have the last section the tyranid army list this appears to be to be the only one in an order going from hq choice to elite choice etc. This quite good as ists all options, rules, stats and a reference to the page it's in for the forces of the tyranids.
In the end I will give this codex a 9/10. If you disagree with me on any thing put your comments below and happy war gaming.
