@snake-eyez: I think its 1/4" mdf, which is about 6mm. 3mm might work if you're careful not to let it warp.
snake-eyez (3 months ago):
Great stuff man. Another awseome terrain painting tutorial. I think I'll give it a go when I get around to opening my moonscape packets.

Also, is that 3mm thick MDF for the base?
GENMAJcamouflage (3 months ago):
@Shasy8shas: i dont think that inquisitional forces will come here to often and if they do (or did in the past)look for their parts in my broods you can find them every where in the galaxy
Zerstoren (3 months ago):
Hmm I actually think if sand were to get superheated and let from plasma or a melta it would either be a bluish or reddish color.
Shasy8shas (3 months ago):
@GENMAJcamouflage: your wrong what you speak is heresy. The reason dirt turns into concrete when it explodes is because the emperor wills it. For using logic and reason to think things you are sentenced to execution by Inquisitional rule.
+1

@ptgraham: and @moman:
i've had that thought too but then it struck me all of a sudden(leaving a headache and an answer)i think of plasma beeing very hot (plasma gun : rapid fire gets hot or melta gun "melts doh"
when sand and thus also dirt gets melted properly it becomes glas
but to get clear glas you have to proces it
since the shots of these guns dont have the procesing technoligy it might just look like concrete because of the dirt beeing not clean but dirt(y)
is that i good explanation?

(b.t.w.) srry 4 misspells in my typing (dutch is easier
ptgraham (3 months ago):
@moman: its true... it should have more of a scorched look. But hey, this is the grim dark future, why does it have to make sense?
moman (3 months ago):
Just wondering how does dirt turn into concrete when exploded? Other than that it looks amazing!!
