Terrific content guys. I'd love to see more small battles involving each type of unit so that everyone can learn the new rules thoroughly before a big game.

Really good and you should do more episodes of going through the new rules and if you do can you go through the warlord rule because it sounds epic

I'm liking these rules purely because it will stop Dan from moving his Boyz with his forearm/broom which makes me cry on the inside every time =(

@shneakygit: Fleet no longer allows you to run and assault.

I thought all rivers and pools were at least difficult terrain
stickmaster97 (10 months ago): - delete
@shneakygit: This is a very good point, but I think it would count as 12 because it states that all Waaagh! rolls count as 6, and you roll for charge which would automatically make it 6. FAQs will be out soon enough and this should answer any questions.

we'll see how 6th edition plays out, so far not a fan, but i am happy to be proved wrong
shneakygit (10 months ago): - delete
soooo dan, on the subject of sluggas, the ork codex states when using ghazkull all waaaagh rolls count as 6, so we still have a 12 inch assault range no matter what. this seems overpowered and everyone will hate on the comment, but it is fully possible via the way the rules are currently written

The orks had it from the start in terms of stats. They have decent melee, and more importantly ranged control. You have ranged control when there's a significant advantage in terms of a mix of survivability and ranged killing power. When you have ranged control in a fight to the death the enemy has to come to you, and if you can take a charge from whats left or knock all their melee out you will win every time.

All im hearing is if your fast and mobile (eldar) you become great in assault

about the Moral Support for Challenges (p65), you only get the one re-roll per 5 boyz watching if at the start of the fight sub-phase the unit is engaged with the single model in the challenge. Therefore, even if you killed all the other marines before the challenge fight started, you would not have got any re-rolls.

If all the other marines except the character in the challenge died in this turn's combat (and the character didn't run away), then in the next turn of combat, the orks would then get the one re-roll per 5 boyz watching.

6th Ed has made future warfare far more about shooting. I think this makes sense... and am biased because I have Necrons. lol WOOHOO!

Fleet says any dice for run or assault can be rerolled, jump says that the total distance can be rerolled.

@Daemonmaster yes, since snap shot only limits your BS/what weapons can fire (e.g. the blast weapons mentioned earlier), Imperial Guard are able to benefit from orders while snap firing. However, they can't use it for overwatch, since orders are given specifically in the shooting phase

that was very informative and i think my army is bone i have like no shooting in the Daemon codex.

could Imp Guard use fire!fire!fire! on a snap shot?
trizzek (10 months ago): - delete
I don't think you would've got the re-rolls for the challenge in this case as it says that if you have models that doesn't get to fight... and you did get to fight. Had the squad been wiped, and the challenge had continued however, you'd get re-rolls for the second round!

Great batrep guys, it really helped me learn a couple new rules. But plz plz do more i really would like to also c some huge battles with the new rules. O yea, matt play the new 6th rules with your nids!!!!

@RabbiPT: Fleet allows you to reroll one or more dice for running and assaulting. "One or more" is important. Meaning, you can reroll as many dice as you want for either. So if you roll a 6 and a 1, you can reroll the 1, and if you roll double 1s, you can reroll both.
