Skilled riders ignore dangerous terrain and get +1 to jink saves (brb p.41). Reaver jet bikes are skilled riders (dark eldar codex p.29).

Also, why are catacomb command barges chariots? I agree that they should be, but their entry in the appendix (brb p.413) doesn't list it as a type, nor is there anything regarding it in the necron FAQ. Are you assuming this is an oversight?

You can move rapid fire and still shoot 1 shot at full range that's what makes tau fire warriors so deadly

Reavers dont take dangerous terrain tests, they have skilled rider which gives Move Through Cover which makes you immune to dangerous terrain.
DearlyDemented (10 months ago): - delete
Yes, yes he does.

the trick is to make ALL flickerfield saves.

Matt in your commenting you mentioned swarms have Move through Cover. This has changed from editions. Page 43 only says they are not slowed by difficult terrain and test for dangerous as normal

Did you guys check for night fighting for first turn?

Sorry my bad for some reason i thought lychgaurd had a 2+ but you still could have rolled a Look Out,Sir! to try and save the Lord after you had taken the armour saves.
_edge_ (10 months ago): - delete
It looks like you may have got the wound allocation for the lychgaurd wrong.

1. Might be the camera angle but it looks like you take the 2 closest and one from the back for the first group of wounds.

2. When the Lord is the closest model for wound allocation you get the roll order wrong. Lord has 3+ (unless he has Sempiternal Weave that is making him 2 but, you didn't mention anything other than a res orb for this model.)and lychgaurd have 2 , this means you allocate the wound before you roll for saves as per the mixed saves rule on pg15. When you allocate a wound to the lord you may nominate one of the lychgaurd within 6" to attempt a Look Out, Sir! on a 4 it is successful and you resolve the wound against it instead. As the lord only has one wound you can only allocate and roll one wound at a time as that would be the maximum LO,S! or armour save he could fail before he is dead or whatever it is that happens to crons.

@jleott: penetrating hits do take away a hull point as well as activating a result from the vehicle damage chart. Page 74. Hope that helps.

Scarab swarms do not ignore cover because they are a swarm. All beasts are not slowed down by difficult terrain and get move through cover, which makes them ignore dangerous terrain. They also get sprint. Hormagants for example are now ridiculously fast. They will be in close combat in turn 2 for sure. Turn 1 they move about 16 inch through cover, turn 2 they charge about 20 inch.
Add in Fearless and hullpoints and they are a serious thread especially for surrounding transports. They may not be able to glance a landraider to death, but they can prevent the passengers from getting out (not allowed after tankshock ) until the hard hitters are there.
Two or three broods of 30- Hormagants with furious charge a serious threat to almost everything in the game exept Dreadnoughts, Flyers and Rear Armor 11+. And when they get crippled on the way to the opponent, they can still eat overwatch fire for bigger hardhitters.
