On page 65 under Assault result: "Unsaved Wounds caused in a challange count towards the assault result...." So the wounds don't go to unit but are counted to the battle.

Comment/Question for Dave about Chaos Demon Prince with Wings: in the English version of the CSM FAQ it states on the Amendments that wings makes that model jump infantry, but a guy at my FLGS showed me that if you look at the same amendment of the same CSM FAQ ,off GW website,in all of the other different languages it states at the end of that part, "Monsterous Creatures with Wings count as Flying Monsterous Creatures" so wouldn't majority rule be correct?

Under "Fighting a Challenge" (p. 64), the last two sentences say, "Wounds allocated to a character in a challenge cannot be reallocated by the Look Out, Sir rule. For the duration of the challenge, these two models are considered to be in base contact only with each other." Then, under "Combatant Slain" (p. 64) it says that if a character is slain, the challenge is considered ongoing until the end of the phase. It seems pretty clear-cut that additional Wounds are lost and are not allocated to the squad.

The Daeomn Prince is a flying monstrous creature in every FAQ but the English one.

regarding "sniping from the blast hole": Ordnance Barrage weapons do that.

Also on the challenge topic, your original question dealt with who can strike the challenger/challengee before you drew off into the overflow tangent. The answer is next sentence after the bold text on pg 64. "Wounds from other attackers cannot be allocated against either character- simply resolve the Wound Allocation step as if the two characters weren't there. Of course that means an enemy unit consisting of only a single character model (like a daemon prince), will not be ale to strike blows at all if that daemon prince is in a challenge." What is the confusion? If the daemon prince in that example survives he effectivly ties up an entire unit, and only 1 model in that unit can target him. The rest are useless excpt for the Moral Support (Get 'Im Boss) rule. pg 65

About Tau markerlights - page 2 of new rulbook states that you add/multiply values first, then you use set attributes at the end, as snapfire is set value BS=1 then you can't use markerlights to shoot flyers - sorry Tau

No Tua would add the +1, but Snap Shot always counts the BS as being 1.

Swarms and instant death. People argue that if you hit a swarm with a template enough strength that you can kill 2 swarms because of the double damage and instant death. No... no matter which way you word this you can never kill more than a single model with a single wound.

Necron can disembark from their flier as long as they do not go Flat Out that turn. (Necron Errata).

Pg 80 under Transports and Assaults... "If a Transport vehicle is assaulted, an embarked unit can fire Overwatch at the attackers out of it Fire Points.

P52 Template Weapons have the Ignore Cover special rule.

P34 Barrage second tab... cover save and wound allocation are from the center of the blast

The Burna likely is a power sword, but given how strange of a weapon it is I would let the player pick at the beginning of each assault phase which way they are using it.

They can apply the wound to any model within 6" in that unit on a 4 . Independent Characters do this on a 2 . Yes this brings back the wound allocation shenanigans that 6th edition was supposed to get rid of, but worse. And Nob units are likely not characters as they are missing at least 5 entries on the Orc list and Nob units are likely one of them (and Meganobz are not characters), but that is a whole other argument.

Challenges say the fight is like both models were not here and it says to only count unsaved wounds. Extra wounds would be wasted.

There is unit with an independent Character. Whole unit is behind something (No Line of sight at all), the Character is out in the open.
I chose to focus fire this character.
Question!
Can he Look out sir on the guys behind the cover?
What if they have different armor groups? What save guys behind the cover will get (cover saves)?

We have had a hard debate on that topic...

Hey Dave, I am currently new to the game, and so I am sorry if this question seems simple, but here it goes or doesn't even make sense.

In the 6th Edition book, page 108, ( I think ) It says once a Squad leader goes down, you must pick another from that squad to replace him, and become the new Squad leader. Does the new Squad leader get any enhanced characteristics for becoming a Squad leader?

Second Question, Would I have to do a Character test if so?

dear almighty chaos lord dave,

i have a dire problem of which the like only you could help me with. i can't choose which army to use because they are all to awesom for me to decide to collect only one of them and every time i choose on army i get intrested in a different one. for example i have a trigon prime and 16 termagaunts, 12 ork boys and 8 lootas, 20 necrons and a lord plus a wraith, some dire avengers and a eldar farseer plus im thinking of getting a dark angels dreadnought because they look so cool. i like all factions exept tau and sob and ig. please help.

Hey Dave since now at 2000 points you can have two force orgs, you can have 10 tervigons by your self and I was wondering if you would consider this a good tactic. PS: this would mean you would statistically generate 105 termigaunts per turn.
