How to Make Warhammer 40k Barbed Wire

Adding barbed wire to your Warhammer 40k terrain is always good to have some extra protection. It’s a relatively simple and easy process and looks great. This Article shows you step by step how to make barbed wire for Warhammer.

Materials List
-ornaments hangers (or paper clips)
-a reel of garden wire
-scissors
-wire cutters
-pliers
-utility knife

Step 1 cut garden wires
Your first step is to make 3 equal sized lengths of garden wire. A wire used in gardening can be bought in any hardware store. You can actually use electrical wires as well, or multi-strand wires. For this project we’ll be using garden wires.

Step 2 Strip wires
Next we strip the wire using wire strippers or a utility knife.

Step 3 Twist wires
Next we twist the three wires together. Use a thick pair of pliers for this. Hold the three wires on both ends and begin stripping.

Step 4 Add ornamental hangers

Now we add the ornamental hangers to our twisted wires. Paper clips also work well. For this project we’ll be using ornamental hangers. Simply wrap them around like so:

Step 5 cut the hangers
Finally we cut the hangers off close to the twisted wires. Leave a little bit of the hanger left to give the effect of the spikes on barbed wire.
